Amongst the significant changes and problems we are facing today, it is important to not only focus on navigating through the ‘now’ but also keep a strategy and vision for the ‘future’.

QNUK are continuing to maintain a long-term strategy of growth and development using this time to build for the future and as part of QNUK’s 100th qualification celebrations, are now taking bookings for the Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment (RQF).

This single unit course will be delivered over a series of 2 live online evening webinar sessions. Learners will then be able to complete their portfolio for submission by end of 2020. This is a one-time offer and as spaces are limited, early booking is advised.

What will I learn?
The QNUK Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment (RQF) is intended for those that wish to gain an understanding of the principles and practices of assessment without any requirement to practice as assessors.

This qualification is for those looking to become an assessor of regulated qualifications and can be used as RPL towards the first unit of the Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (RQF). This qualification is also useful for those that are working with assessors and need a greater understanding of their role.
Learners will:

  • Understand the principles and requirements of assessment
  • Understand different types of assessment method
  • Understand how to plan assessments
  • Understand how to involve learners and others in assessment
  • Understand how to make assessment decisions
  • Understand quality assurance of the assessment process
  • Understand how to manage information relating to assessment
  • Understand the legal and good practice requirements in relation to assessment

Pre-Requisites: This qualification is available to those over 18 years. Learners should be at least a level 2 numeracy and literacy or equivalent.
